It is not necessary to undergo a hair transplant under general anesthesia, as it is not associated with severe pain and general anesthesia would put your body under unnecessary stress. The operation takes 6-8 hours under local anesthesia, during which you can watch TV, read or use your cell phone.

With active or untreated alopecia, the hair may not grow in these areas. After successful treatment of your alopecia, hair often grows back on its own. If bald patches are still present as a result, a hair transplant is a good option.
