Micro-FUE is a procedure in which the patient benefits from a larger amount of extracted grafts from the donor area. In comparison, with the normal FUE method, the extracted grafts are extracted with some additional skin from the scalp. During the Micro-FUE method, the shape of the incision is selected by the plastic surgeon to allow more grafts to be inserted per square centimeter and extracted with less skin. With the Micro-FUE method, more grafts can be extracted and transplanted to the bald area. In addition, compared to the normal FUE method, the Micro-FUE method ensures a shorter healing time and greater hair density of the donor area (back of the head) in terms of hair growth or hair coverage after the operation.
